Dear Reservoir Homeowners,
The time is near for our hearing on the overlay (Reservoir Community District). Our opinions have been identified and shared. The five Rankin County Board of Supervisors, Jared Morrison, Wood Brown, Greg Wilcox, Walter Johnson & Jay Bishop, will possibly vote on the passage or the defeat of the RCD on March 4, 2013.
I urge each of you to attend the meeting on March 4, 2013, located at the Rankin County Board of Supervisors board room at 9:00 a.m. If this is not possible I humbly ask that you email Janice Dendy, Administrative Assistant, (jdendy@rankincounty.org -reference overlay in the subject line) your opinion on the RCD. Janice will forward a copy to all of the supervisors.
We, the homeowners, and the Rankin County Board of Supervisors have a choice, do nothing and see our property values decline, or create the RCD and have an extra layer of protection for homeowners allowing the values of our homes to increase.
If the residents do not communicate effectively, I am of the opinion, and it troubles me to make this statement, the RCD vote will be close. Now is our defining moment, our voices will help decide the fate of the RCD, and our future of this beautiful place we call home.

We have a few events coming up that I wanted to let everyone know about so you can put them on your calendar! I'll be needing help with each of these, so be thinking now about whether or not you'll be available.
Sunday, March 24 - Easter Party and Easter Egg Hunt, 4pm
Saturday, April 6 - Millcreek Garage Sale, 7am - noon
Thursday, July 4 - Neighborhood Pool Party and Fireworks
*This will be open to all Millcreek residents, not just club members.
I will send more information as we get closer to each event.
If you are able to help with the Easter Party, please email me at jesshill223@gmail.com. I will need people to help with preparation (decorating, filling eggs, etc.), people to run the party (helping with crafts for children, hiding eggs, serving refreshments, etc.), and people to help with cleanup. Thanks in advance for anything you can do. We look forward to getting together with our neighbors!
